Boat trips
If you only do one, choose Phi Phi: it is the most booked and the simplest. Phang Nga Bay suits you if you prefer limestone and kayaking; the Similan are for snorkelling, and only from October to May. To choose between several snorkelling trips, see the snorkelling comparison. For neighbouring islands, Hong Island, Krabi and Khao Lak.
On the island
The Big Buddha and Wat Chalong combine into a half day (see also Phuket in 1 day). The old town is best in the morning or evening, with its Sunday market. For sunsets, see sunset cruise.
