Jungceylon is Patong's big shopping centre, right in the middle of town, a short walk from the beach and Bangla Road. Open daily from 11 am to 10 pm according to several travel guides, it has fashion shops, restaurants, cafés, a Big C supermarket, a cinema and a pool with a junk boat. Some units keep their own hours: Big C is listed from 9 am to 11 pm. It is Patong's air-conditioned refuge in the hot or rainy hours, and the place for practical shopping: sunscreen, clothes, basics, a pharmacy. Prices are displayed and there is no haggling, which makes a change from the street stalls.
