Luggage
Many hotels keep bags free after check-out. Otherwise see luggage storage in Phuket. Keep your passport, boarding pass and phone battery on you.
The airport transfer
- Private transfer: booked ahead, fixed price, the driver follows your departure time. Example read on 30 October 2026 at Welcome Pickups: a sedan for up to 4 people from Phuket Town from €30. Another option: the private airport transfer by car or van.
- Taxi or Grab: dearer and less predictable in late afternoon.
- Smart Bus: about 100 baht but slow (nearly 2 hours): avoid it if the flight is tight, see the Smart Bus.
Night flight: filling the day
A flight after 10pm leaves a full day: book a half-day trip (list) only if you are back before 3pm, as the monsoon can delay boats. See also airport tips.

Where to leave bags on the last day?
At hotel reception, or in storage near the airport, Patong, Kata or the old town.
How early to leave Kata for the flight?
Leave 4 hours before an international flight in the evening: 1 to 1.5 hours by road plus 3 hours at the airport, traffic aside.
Can you shower before a night flight?
Yes: ask the hotel (often paid) or book a spa with showers.
