The stadium advertises fights on Tuesday and Friday. One reseller lists 20:30 to 23:30 with the first bout at 21:00; a local guide gives 21:00 to 23:50. No fights on other days according to the reseller. Another reseller mentions Friday only: check the date of your stay.
Where it is, and getting there from Phuket
The stadium is in Khuk Khak (Takua Pa district, Phang Nga province), on Petchkasem Road near Bang Niang beach. It is about 1 to 1.5 hours by road from Phuket airport, so only aim for it from Phuket if you sleep in the north of the island or in Khao Lak: see the Phuket airport to Khao Lak transfer and Khao Lak from Phuket. The ticket does not include a transfer according to the reseller: plan a taxi or Grab for the late-night return.
How an evening runs
Fighters use fists, elbows, knees and feet, after a traditional dance paying respect to their teachers (wai khru) before each bout. Official bouts run up to 5 rounds of 3 minutes. The noise and violence are not suitable for young children.
