Naka Weekend Market in Phuket: opening hours, food and shopping (2026)
The Naka Weekend Market is the big weekend market of Phuket Town, with a street food zone and a shopping zone (clothes, accessories, decor). Most guides give Saturday and Sunday, about 4pm to 10pm (one site says 9pm), with free entry. Sources do not agree on the address: confirm it on a map before you go. It is more local and less touristy than the Lard Yai market, and prices are often lower.
Highlights

The market and its entertainment
Shows and concerts are held regularly on the market stage.
The food zone
Grills, noodles, seafood, desserts and juices: pick the stalls where Thai customers queue.
The shopping zone
Clothes, bags, accessories and homeware at low prices. Compare stalls before buying and haggle politely.

Tips
- Come around 4.30 to 5pm: after 7pm the crowd is dense and parking is hard. Bring cash in small notes. Guides differ on the address (Wirat Hong Yok, Chao Fa West Road near Central Festival, or Thalang Road, probably a mix-up with the Sunday market): ask your taxi or search "Naka Weekend Market" on your map app. On weekdays, try Chillva Market; on Sunday, the Lard Yai market. All markets compared: Phuket night markets. Information from travel guides, not the market itself.
How to get there
On the edge of Phuket Town, between the centre and the Central Phuket mall according to several guides (address to confirm). Taxi or Grab from the old town or the beaches; allow 30 minutes to 1 hour from the west of the island depending on traffic (estimate). See getting around Phuket.
