Tiger Kingdom Phuket: prices, opening hours and the animal welfare question (2026)
Tiger Kingdom is a park in Kathu, in the middle of the island, where visitors enter the tigers' enclosure for a photo. According to booking sites it is open daily from 9am to 6pm (last entry 5.30pm; another site gives 10am to 6pm). A 2026 guide gives these prices: 470 baht for the walk-around only, about 920 baht for a small or medium tiger, 1,100 baht for a big one, 1,320 baht for a giant, a newborn or a cheetah, and 1,720 to 3,520 baht for packages of 2 to 4 tigers. Children under 15 or under 160 cm can only approach the smallest ones.
Highlights

The park's tigers
Visitors enter the enclosure with a keeper for a photo. It is not a sanctuary.
The packages by tiger size
The bigger the tiger, the higher the ticket. Check the package before paying at the gate: the online ticket is almost always cheaper.
The animal welfare question
Opinions differ: one visitor found the site clean and well organised and the operator says the tigers are not drugged, but this is not independently verified. Animal protection groups widely criticise this kind of attraction.

Tips
- If animal welfare matters to you, avoid direct contact and choose an ethical elephant sanctuary, with no riding or shows: see the ethical elephant sanctuary in Phuket. If you go anyway, book online, compare packages and come at opening, when it is cooler. The park is about 10 km from Phuket Town and 4 km from Patong. For more family ideas: Phuket with family. Prices and hours come from travel and resale sites, not the official site: confirm.
