Getting from Phuket to Koh Phangan
The full route detail (bus, ferry, luggage, times) is in Phuket to Koh Phangan. In short: leave in the morning, arrive late afternoon, and allow a margin: a road delay can make you miss the last ferry from Donsak, around 18:00 per one source. The safest plan is to arrive the day before and not aim for the party day itself.
Safety tips
- Keep your phone and money on you, leave nothing on the beach.
- Do not drink a bucket or glass that was not poured in front of you.
- Go home in a group and plan the way back to your hotel before the night starts.
- Drugs are illegal in Thailand and heavily punished.
- Travel insurance avoids bad surprises, see travel insurance in Phuket.
What is uncertain
The late-2026 dates come from unofficial calendars and can shift around Buddhist holidays. Beach entry and accommodation prices vary. Check before booking.
